The image of a wolf’s snout forcing it’s way out of a man’s stretched mouth while Little Red Riding Hood looks on under a full moon. When you see something like that at your local video store, how could you possibly pass up the rental.

Neil Jordan’s film is a fairy tale wrapped in a nightmare. Those looking for scares or gory will probably be disappointed. But the imagery is very cool. This is highbrow horror. Roger Ebert even gave the movie 3 Stars.
